File Transfer Protocol
The best way to do this is by using a FTP (File Transfer Protocol) software. You can find many free applications for FTP at http://www.download.com/
You are basically going to be doing a file transfer from your local computer to a server. You do get command line FTP utilities as well as FTP client softwares that provide you with a graphical user interface.
We also recommend FileZilla http://filezilla-project.org/
FTP gives you the ability to transfer files from your computer to the server. Make sure you have written your web pages properly in an HTML editor such as Frontpage, Notepad, or Dreamweaver. After verifying, you can upload the files into the server.
If you are using a Plesk control panel: httpdocs directory
If you are using cPanel: the public_html directory
Please check the Welcome Email you were sent by your web hosting company to find the username, password and other information you will need to login to the FTP.
